A Doting Dad

I hate to bore all you people that don't view this blog... but aren't kids amazing?

I can't think of too many things that would be better to do when you're dead-ass tired than hang with your kids. - I know, I know... I find myself wishing daily that I could just sit on my ass, well... ANYWHERE... But I see the pure joy and love in the eyes of my kids, and I can't help but find that energy to pick 'em up and play - as Cyrus often says, "Just five more minutes, daddy."

I smile (at least inside) every morning I see Roya snuggled right up to Ana, forcing her onto the first foot of our king-sized bed. I undestand that it's not that comfy for my wife, but she n Roya are a most beautiful sight by morning light.

Cyrus just killed me on Wednesday when I picked him up from daycare. I had to go work at SMM that night. So when he asked me to, "Go play outside?" I was crushed. When I explained to him that I'd hafta go as soon as we got home, he said in his most innocent and gut-wrenching voice, "Just a little bit?" holding his fingers up to make a 'this big' representation of a little bit... Damn. Here's my heart kid. You keep it.
