I just found out today that one of my dearest friends from my outdoor ed days in CA has cancer.

Wow...

Having JUST taken my little girl to get scanned and prodded this morning in an attempt to find out if she has kidney reflux (which they think she doesn't), and talking to Ana about us being lucky that this is such a little thing (having your child strapped to a board with her arms and head tied together) compared to your child having cancer er something TRUELY bad. We felt a little sheepish to have been stressed out by something so, well... benign.

ANYWHOO...

Dara is a beautiful woman that I was in a lovely friendship with during my final Astrocamp days. She is a wonderful, close and comfortable friend to have, and I will always appreciate and cherish that time when I had her in my life... I will never forget it - or her mom's salsa! Holy crap that stuff is good! - I just thought I was getting a little heavy there and needed to lighten up.

Needless to say, here blog will be on my "check daily" website rounds.
